Delegate arrivals at LAD are met inside the terminal; vehicles depart directly for the hotel zone. Medical facilities in Luanda are limited relative to the city's cost and complexity. The Clínica Sagrada Esperança and Hospital Militar are the most capable facilities available. For complex specialist treatment, medical evacuation to Johannesburg (approximately 3.5 hours by air from LAD) is the standard plan.
