Blaise Diagne Airport Delegate Transfers

Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) is located approximately 47 kilometres from central Dakar, one of the further airport-to-city distances of any African capital. The transfer to the principal conference hotels takes 50 to 75 minutes under normal conditions on the VDN and Route Nationale expressways. Delegate arrivals at DSS are met inside the terminal with ID-confirmed vetted transport. Traffic management on the expressway approach and the Dakar Plateau hotel zone access are standard planning elements for event transport.

Medical Provision and Emergency Planning

Medical facilities in Dakar are adequate by West African standards: the Principal Hospital (Hopital Principal de Dakar), Clinique du Cap, and Clinique de la Madeleine provide private medical care for routine cases. For complex specialist cases requiring treatment beyond Dakar's capacity, medical evacuation to Paris (approximately 5.5 hours by air from DSS) or to Casablanca (3 hours) is the standard option.
